This is my Contents page. I wanted to include the front cover because then the reader can find something they liked on the front cover more easily. I also tried to use similar colours like pinks and purple to really show my target audience of girls.

Re - do of my front cover

This is my front cover with the improvments that were needed. I changed the colour scheme to make it more relivent to my target audience and i also changed the background to give it a more edgey look.

Feedback from my front cover

I have to change the background of my front cover. The image is good but the background of a staircase didn't fit with the target audience and the purpose of my magazine so i need to change that. i think i'm going to go to an underground and take shots of the staircase there and then crop the image of the girl in front of it.
The colour scheme also needs to be changed because that didn't fit with the type of magazine i was going for either. So i will change the Blacks and Red's to colours like pink, purple, silver, to really complement the theme of my magazine.
The masthead needs to be made wider because it was too thin and didn't stand out as well as it should on a normal magazine.
The main heading 'Frankie J' needs to be moved over to the left and also the writing that goes with it.
The barcode would look better if it was in the bottom right hand corner instead if the left so i need to also move that.
The image is very good so that needs to stay the same and i will apply the changes to make my magazine better!

This is my final front cover for my music magazine

This is my first attempt at my front cover. This also includes the edit to the picture.

The reason i chose this image for my front cover is because i like how it's clearly shows the artist and you can see she is a singer from the microphone. She is looking directly at the camera so it's like she is looking straight at her audience and drawing them in. The idea behind the mise - en - scene is because my music magazine is a chart magazine, the stairs represent climbing to the top of the chart. Each step is getting closer to the top.

Pre - Lim Contents Page

This is my pre - lim contents page.

The idea behind my magazine was sports around school and it is aimed at everyone, mainy boys because they are the ones who are more likely into sport.

Doing the pre - lim task has helped me with photoshop and showed i need to start thinking about my final music magazine.

I used the photo's of the basketball game becuase this is a big discussion topic around school and whether they have won or not so that is the main story in my sports magazine.
